Fred worked with the Louisiana Hayride, The Band, Conway Twitty, Bob Dylan, Johnny & June Carter Cash, Roy Orbison, Simon & Garfunkel, Muddy Waters, Dean Martin, Chet Atkins, Kris Kristofferson, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Bobby Bridger, his daughter Deanna Carter among many others.
