Lodge is a Pueblo Revival styled building constructed as part of the Miami Springs development. The building is particularly noteworthy architecturally because of its largely unaltered condition. According to longtime Miami Springs resident and present owner, William A. McCarty, the first owner of the building was Ray Millard, who served as the first postmaster of Hialeah, also a Curtiss and Bright development. William McCarty, mayor of Miami Springs between 1948-51, acquired the building in 1947.
