1. “The Greatest Generation” Marker
Inscription. Dedicated to those men and women who served in the armed forces of the United States of America during the Second World War. We honor those Twentieth Century Americans who took up a great struggle and made the sacrifices to perpetuate the gift our forefathers entrusted to us: A nation conceived in liberty and justice.
 
Erected 2004 by the Veterans Organizations of Lakeland and Polk County, Florida.
