In the early years 115 E. Lafayette housed
grocery stores like J.A. Thompson (1880's)
1916 - Carnahan Bros. Dry Goods
1923 - Moore Style Shop where ladies
purchased their beautiful Sunday hats
1935 - C.N. Whitlow Clothing Store.
1947 - Gay Clothes Shoppe. 1957 - Mangels.
After Mangel's, several other clothing
stores attempted, but could not make
a go of it. Now in 2009, thanks to a
complete facelift, the building
gets another
chance.
