1. 1321 Main Street Marker

Inscription. This two-story building was built in the mid 1880's and housed only 3 businesses as of 2018. It was built by J.J.R. Adams. Adams and a brother came to Humboldt after the Civil War to open a grocery & hardware store. Adams, along with a son, would continue to operate the store until the 1920's. The second store was the City Drug Company and City Gift Company is the third business in this location. In the early 1900's a printing company was on the 2nd floor.
