1. 1408 Main Street Marker

Inscription. This beautiful Art Deco building was built in 1941. “Life Begins for Andy Hardy” was the opening night movie on October 16, 1941. The manager was Wayne Harrington with Elizabeth Cox and Spicer Taylor as its first employees. Originally it had one large auditorium to show movies but was later divided into three rooms. Beginning in 1996, the theater began to experience many modern upgrades.
