1. Bethel College Marker
Inscription. Near this site, in 1842, Bethel College had its beginning as Bethel Seminary, founded by the West Tennessee Synod of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The college continued here in McLemoresville until 1872, when it was moved to McKenzie. This commemorative marker was erected in 1992, as part of the college's Sesquicentennial year.
