1. The Cactus Theater Marker
Inscription. The Cactus Theater, originally constructed in 1938, was Lubbock's first suburban neighborhood-oriented theater. It closed in 1958 until being revitalized in 1993 by a group of area investors, Cactus Theater Inc., headed by Don and Terri Caldwell. The Cactus Theater has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior.
