1. Persian Gulf War Marker
Inscription. The Persian Gulf War [Desert Storm] began when Iraq invaded Kuwait. In early January, 1991, the United States and United Nations forces began an offensive drive that ended when Iraq forces withdrew from Kuwait. A cease fire went into effect on February 28, 1991. There were 382 Americans KIA, 1800 non combat casualties and 467 WIA. Estimated cost of war $61,100,000,000.
