1. Vietnam War Marker
Inscription. The Vietnam War began in March 1959 when Communist activist Ho Chi Min declared a peoples war to unite all of Vietnam under his Communist leadership. Fifteen years later, and with neither side winning the conflict, the Paris Peace Accords were signed by the United States, North Vietnam, South Vietnam and Viet Cong. There were 47,369 Americans KIA, 10,799 non combat casualties and 153,303 WIA. Estimated cost of war $150,000,000,000.
