Inscription. Hultquist and Chandler Homes. . The V. J. Hultquist family home was constructed in 1925. The same year, the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) constructed a home for the family of E. M. Chandler, who supervised the Sheet Mill from 1924 to 1946. He also managed the North Plant from its construction until his retirement in 1946. Hultquist, considered to be the Father of Alcoa, held many positions with the Company, including manager of the construction division. He also served as Alcoa's city manager from 1919 until his retirement in 1948. At the time he retired, he was the nation's longest serving city manager., Captions (left to right) , . V. J. The V. J. Hultquist family home was constructed in 1925. The same year, the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) constructed a home for the family of E. M.
