1. Southern Pacific Depot Marker
Inscription.  [English] Built in 1928, the depot was designed by R.W. Barnes, Southern Pacific Railroad's Chief Engineer. Southern Pacific began freight service on its line running from Brownsville to Edinburg on October 20, 1927. Passenger service was added November 1928. It was a depot until 1952. The Historic Brownsville Museum opened at this site in 1986.

[Español] Construida en 1928, la estación ferroviaria fue disenada por R.W. Barnes el ingeniero de cabeza de la Southern Pacific Railroad. La compañia ferroviaria copmenzó su servicio de transporte de mercancias para la linea que corría de Brownsville a Edinburg en octubre 20, 1927. El servicio para pasajeros fue añadidó en noviembre 1928. Sirvio como estación de tren hasta 1952. El Museo Historico de Brownsville abrió sus puertas en este sitio en 1986.
