The Full Bible Standard
Scripture Rocks Heritage Park
Occasionally Stahlman's engravings display iconography as well as text. This rock describes what Stahlman calls The Full Bible Standard. One of the common themes of his overall plan is that his message was essentially non-sectarian, as he did not adhere to a specific creed or religious system, but rather sought to restore or re-establish Christianity in its original non-denominational form.
The symbol is intended to emphasize the commonalities and unities within the divisions or denominations of Christianity. The squares within the circle here represent the shared values of Luther[a]nism, Methodism, Catholicism, and Presbyterianism.
"Is it not too often the case that ministers and leaders are more eager to make Baptists, Lutherans, Presbyterians, and so on rather than faithful followers of Christ, -- more eager to build up their own congregation than to get soul[s] saved, and glorify God?"
-D.M. Stahlman
