1. Boeuf Prairie Methodist Church Marker
Inscription. Oldest church in Franklin Parish. A campground was established in 1806 at Boeuf Prairie, first permanent settlement in the area, became the site of a true house of worship in 1833. The church served as the courthouse for a time after formation of Franklin Parish in 1843.
 
Erected 1976 by Franklin Parish Bicentennial Commission.
