1. Central School Marker
Inscription.  Designed by Robert J. Edwards, the school was erected in 1884. In 1901, an eight-room classroom structure, designed by C.W. Wheeler, was added. The two-storey brick structure has a symmetrical facade and the straightforward design is ornamented with elongated Italianate brackets. Central School is the oldest remaining school building in the City of Thunder Bay and was so used until 1965.
