1. "Johnny Appleseed" Marker
Inscription. In 1829 "Johnny Appleseed" planted an apple nursery 900 feet east of here on a half acre of Jacob Harter's land leased for forty years in exchange for forty apple trees delivered in 1835.
 
Erected 1953 by Allen County Historical Society.
