Regarding Ham Gravy. Harold Ham Gravy is one of the four characters to be introduced in the first published Thimble Theatre cartoon on Dec. 19, 1919. He was the on-and-off-again boyfriend of Olive Oyl and was quickly written out of the script once Popeye arrived on the scene.
