It is square, one story tall and is in the Colonial Revival style. It was built by the Public Works Administration. The main entrance has broad granite steps with a cast-iron railing. Alice Flint completed this mural, entitled “Plantation Scene,” in 1941 with funds provided by the Treasury Section of Fine Arts. It was installed in the original Adel post office.
