In this building lived the commander of the Republican Army, communist and leader of the French Resistance during World War II, killed by the Gestapo in La Santé prison.

2. Conrad Miret i Musté Marker - wide view
once in exile was the head of the Military Committee of the Special Organization of the MOI (Main d'Oeuvre Immigrée) until he was arrested by the Gestapo in Paris. He was killed by torture at the hands of the Nazis in 1942 in the Paris prison of La Santé, where a plaque commemorating him as a war hero has been installed since 2013."

Excerpt (in translation): "Conrad Miret i Musté (also known as Conrado Miret-Musté), born April 15, 1906 in Barcelona and murdered on February 27, 1942 in Paris, was a Catalan Republican communist. Engaged in the fight against the Nazis in France in 1939, he distinguished himself as a resistance member in the groups of the Special Organization for Immigrant Workforce, precursor of the FTP-MOI in the Paris region. He is the brother of Josep Miret i Musté."
