Inscription. Men of Broome who served for us, in your name this bridge we give, that your laurels may grow green, that your memory may live. Flowing stream and wooded hills spanned by arch of classic grace, here we speak our gratitude, here we hold your deathless place.

Erected by the City of Binghamton 1925 as a memorial to those citizens of Broome County whose unselfish service in our American wars expresses man's highest ideal of patriotic devotion.

Location. 42° 5.608′ N, 75° 54.931′ W. Marker is in Binghamton, New York, in Broome County. Memorial is at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Water Street, on the right when traveling west on Riverside Drive. There are four plaques, one at each corner of the Memorial Bridge over the Chenango River. The inscriptions for each pair at the ends are identical, however each of the four have different scenes of war. There is also a cornerstone plaque at the northwest corner. Text: This tablet placed by the 125th anniversary celebration and Memorial Bridge dedication committee's from funds made possible by the generous donations received from the citizens of this community. Bridge started September 1st 1923 under the administration of Mayor Thomas A. Wilson. Completed and dedicated September 7th 1925 under the administration of Mayor John A. Giles. City Engineer - Edward H. Prentice.
