Welcome
Welcome to Colvin Run Mill Historic Site. Colvin Run Mill is a tribute to industrial innovation and the working people who made it happen. However, our historic mill (c. 1811), Miller's House (c. 1809), and General Store (c. 1900) are not merely monuments to technological achievements. They are a glimpse into the lives of the everyday folks who made this place their home and worked hard to build a life for themselves and their families.
Colvin Run Mill was a social hub, the heart of a multifaceted community, an economic engine, and a communal center. As you explore the site today, we hope you will appreciate the complex interplay of people, technology, and society—as true today as it was years ago.
