1. First State Capital Marker
Inscription. Corydon became the first state capital of Indiana in 1816. The first constitution was drawn up and the first sessions of the state legislature and supreme court convened here.
 
Erected 1962 by Corydon Chamber of Commerce. (Marker Number 31.1962.2.)
