Regarding Engine Co. 18 Fire Hall. Excerpt from the National Register nomination:

… The Nashville Fire Department constructed the Fire Hall for Engine Company No. 18 in 1930 to serve the areas of northeast Davidson County that the City of Nashville annexed in the 1920s. At the time of construction, the site for the new fire hall was conveniently located along a major thoroughfare and streetcar line in an area experiencing widespread suburban home construction. The fire hall was part of a two-phase building program completed by the Nashville Fire Department between 1930 and 1936.
