Excerpt: "Miquel de Palol i Felip (Girona, 1885 - Girona, 1965) was a Catalan writer...He was a member of the group of modernist writers in Girona and with them he adopted bohemian and rebellious attitudes. He took part in the creation of the Girona Floral Games in 1903, and collaborated in L'Enderroc, Lletres and La Catalanitat , which he directed, and others, as well as the Barcelona press ( El Poble Català, L'Esquella de la Torratxa, La Campana de Gràcia). A poet of the symbolist currents, he published Roses (1905), Sonetos galantes (1912) and Poemes de tarda (1914)). He is also the author of the novel Camí de llum (1909), one of the most significant works of Catalan decadentism, and of the collection of short stories Tales of Love and Torture (1910). Marginalized by the rise of Noucentisme, he still wrote some plays within the symbolist schemes: Miss Enigma (1920), among others. In 1972 his autobiography Girona and I was published."(Submitted on May 30, 2022.)
