Camp Blanding
Ocala - Marion County Veterans Memorial Park
Camp Blanding was established by the State of Florida in 1939. This 73,000 acre facility off State Road 16, near Starke, Florida played a major role in the training of World War II soldiers and also housed German Prisoners of War.
It currently serves the Florida National Guard and various other military units.
