Cal Ripken Senior. The Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League and this Hall of Fame have been named to honor the man who personified the commitment to playing baseball the right way, the Ripken Way. Cal Senior's maxim was simple: "Perfect practice makes perfect." The Maryland native began managing his way up the minor league system of the Baltimore Orioles in the Class D Florida League in 1961 at the age of 25. He became a manager of the major league club in 1987. He served as a player, coach, scout, and manager with the Baltimore Orioles for 36 years. An active promoter of youth baseball throughout his life, Cal Senior was a great teacher and mentor for young players. In 1996, he was inducted into the Orioles Hall of Fame. Cal Ripken Senior left a legacy of excellence admired by all who love the game.

Erected 2019 by Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League.
