Canonsburg Armory
A unit of Pennsylvania National Guard was established in Canonsburg in 1926. This armory was erected in 1938 for Co. H. 103rd Medical Regiment and was designed by local architect, George W. Brugger, and patterned after a building in Williamsburg, Va. In 1946, Co. G. 110th Infantry was formed and later became Co. E. 1-110th Mechanized Infantry Battalion. The lot had previously been the site of the president's house, Robert J. Breckenridge, erected by Jefferson College c. 1845.
