1. NKP #25228 Marker
Inscription. This is a 40' boxcar built for the W&LE RY in 1925. It is one of the first steel box cars built in America. The Norfolk & Western Railway donated this car to the museum in 1976. It spent the last 15 years of service as a tool car. It now contains many Nickel Plate related displays.
