1. NKP #X50041 Marker
Inscription. This car was built in 1924 by Standard Steel Car Company. It was equipped with instruments to record speed, back pressure, boiler steam pressure, and pounds of drawbar pull of the steam locomotives. The only Dynamometer Car owned by NKP, it was equipped with kitchen and berths for 6 workers and a porter. Through the efforts of Major Jeff Leaman, the car was acquired from the Department of Defense, State of Colorado in July, 1984.
