Troy in Oakland County, Michigan — The American Midwest (Great Lakes)
Parsonage
Built circa 1871
For over ninety years the walls of the parsonage echoed with children's laughter, the clatter of tea cups during countless meetings, and the sweet melodies of hymns played on the old pump organ. Twenty-six different ministers served the Troy Methodist Church next door and the Big Beaver United Methodist Church on Rochester Road. This simple house was their home, but the entire community found support and fellowship here.
