Inscription. This courthouse was built in the Greek Revival style at a cost of $25,000 in 1835. Court was held on the second floor with offices on the first. It had six large tin pillars. Four chimneys were on either side between every other window. These window placements and the arches above them are all that remain of its 1835 design.

After two votes to demolish, it failed, as did a move to make Morrow the county seat, $9,900 was spent to add four offices in the front in 1894. It was now in the Renaissance Revival style. Until probate court left in 1996, it was it was the second oldest courthouse in use in Ohio. A 2.4 million dollar renovation was completed in 1999.
