Excerpt (in translation): "...on August 20, 1944 he led a group of volunteers composed of police officers, including inspectors from General Intelligence and F.F.I. They attacked German soldiers who were in a bus which was entering the Place Saint-Michel. The driver was hit, and the vehicle crashed into the front of the “Brasserie Alsacienne”. No signs of life appeared inside the bus. Overconfident, Raymond Boisson hastily interpreted this silence...as a surrender. He advanced, and the Germans fired. He collapsed, killed dead, his carotid artery severed. His funeral took place on September 26 at Les Lilas, a delegation of thirty police officers were present, four of them mounted a guard of honor. A mass was celebrated in the Notre-Dame du Rosaire church, then the burial took place in the municipal cemetery of the city."(Submitted on June 22, 2022.)
