Inscription. Andrea Jeannin paid tribute to her brother-in-law, Cpl. Lucas A. Frantz, who was killed by an Iraqi sniper in October, 2005 on his 22nd birthday. Andrea defined a legend as someone who does something important to better the world. She felt that Frantz and other fallen Kansas soldiers died keeping America safe. Andrea said that Frantz, a local football star, returned to Kansas as a hero and a legend, recognized by the President, the Governor, the news media and his hometown, Tonganoxie, Kansas.
