Excerpt (in translation): "On August 21, 1944, around 11 a.m., patrolman Joseph Lahuec of the Compagnies de Circulation, unarmed, returned from an expedition to Fort Verrières where he had reported an arms depot, and where he had already been the day before, bringing back seven machine guns. His group was attacked by the Germans near the Place Saint-André-des-Arts: while transporting a crate of arms to the City, Lahuec found himself isolated from his colleagues and took refuge in a building where he was shot dead..."
