America's most decorated combat infantry soldier. Buffalo N.Y. born. He enlisted into the army and served gallantly in World War II 9th Infantry Div. Recipient of the Bronze Star two Silver Stars, Purple Heart with six clusters, among others and including our nation's highest military award, the Congressional Medal of Honor. Matt "The Ghost”, as the enemy named him, will never be forgotten for his valorous deeds serving his country.
