1. Old Colorado City Marker
Inscription. The first permanent settlement of the Pikes Peak Region. The capital city of the Colorado Territory for four days in July 1862. El Paso county seat for 10 years. This location at the foot of Pikes Peak laid the foundation for the entire Pikes Peak Region and the metro area that exists today.
