Inscription.
If liturgy is the lifeblood of Mother of God parish, then music is the air it breathes, lifting us beyond our individual experience and melding us into a faithful family on fire with the Good News of Christ.

Since the mid-nineteenth century when the first choir was formed — through the establishment of the Choral Club in 1938 and the Contemporary Ensemble in 1970 — the parish has nurtured and contributes significantly to Mother of God's reputation as a "cradle of the arts."

The people of Mother of God are deeply grateful to the dedicated singers, instrumentalists, conductors and composers who have enriched our parish with their music ministry for the past 175 years. And we pray that God will continue to bless and inspire them in their generous service to our community.

This plaque was made possible by the generous donors to the Mother of God 175th anniversary celebration, September 2016.
