1. Warren County Marker
Inscription. Primarily in the eastern Highland Rim, the “Round County” commemorates Major General Joseph Warren, casualty of the Battle of Bunker Hill. Three-quarters of the county’s boundaries form a circle around McMinnville. For its nursery industry, Warren is also known as the “Cradle of the Plant Kingdom.” National Landmark Cumberland Caverns has hallways and galleries of “breathtaking beauty.” Uncle Dave Macon, “the single most popular performer in the Grand Ole Opry’s first 15 years, was born in Smart Station.
