1. Waverly Fire Bell Marker
Inscription.
This bell, cast in the early 1900's was originally used to sound the alarm when the fire company was needed. It hung in the bell tower of the old fire station on North Street and later in the fire station on Market Street. In the late 1980's the bell was taken down to repair the roof and placed in storage. Then, in 2006, the bell was mounted on a stand made by students from the Vern Riffe Joint Vocational School. In August of 2007, the bell was cleaned and placed where it now stands in this memorial constructed by the Waverly Parks Department employees.

This bell is dedicated to all first responders, past, present, and future. for their service to the citizens of Waverly.

Erected 2007.
