George Washington Tree
Under the parent of this tree Washington took command of the American Army, July 8, 1725.
This elm tree replaces that memorialized by the 1932 "George Washington” Tree which succumbed to Dutch elm disease in 1995.
The new tree was dedicated in 2006 as a part of Geauga County's Bicentennial observance.
