The two main buildings, Mansion House and Centennial Hall, stood near the site of the Social-Religious building. Both were destroyed by fire in 1905. In 1910, after the close of Roger Williams University, the trustees of George Peabody College for teachers purchased seventeen of the original thirty acres, including what is now the southern portion of the campus between Hillsboro Road and 18th Avenue South and part of Hillsboro Village.
