1. Richmond Garden Club Marker
Inscription. White Hall stood in ruins in 1965 when the Garden Club directed its efforts to saving and restoring the mansion as a Kentucky state park. In 1967 Gov. Edward Breathitt and White Hall heirs, Warfield and Esther Bennett approved the sale. The deed transferred on July 5, 1968 under Gov. Louie Nunn. Mrs. Nunn ably supervised the restoration. White Hall opened Sept. 16, 1971.
