Inscription. This whiskey-aging warehouse, built in 1934 is constructed of huge, self-supporting ricks. The massive wooden beams support the entire inventory of 15.947 maturing barrels of fine Kentucky bourbon, clad in metal. This warehouse possessed the aging characteristics that most appealed to Colonel Albert B. Blanton. It is from inside this structure alone that specially selected barrels of Blanton's single barrel bourbon whiskey are procured. The metal shell allows the building to quickly warm during the day and cool at night. These temperature changes allow the whiskey to cycle within the barrel more often, resulting in a smooth, yet spicy bourbon.

Erected by Buffalo Trace Distillery.
