1. Damage Alert! Marker
Inscription. The north side did not come through unscathed on August 23, 2011. Like the corresponding grand pinnacles on the south transept, the grand pinnacles of the north transept also cracked and twisted. Several of the delicate spires of the secondary ("side") pinnacles on the grand pinnacles broke off and fell. Replacements were created by our talented stone carvers.
 
Erected by Washington National Cathedral.
