Regarding Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium. Santa Cruz Historic Building Survey, Volume II, May 1989
”Mediterranean Revival
Because the building presents its lowest volumes nearest the street and steps back with its highest volume at the auditorium, it size does not overwhelm the site. The front arcade forms a dramatic entrance. Moorish details on the parapet wall of the highest area add to the Mediterranean effect.”
