the fair, its theater was very prosperous and the Opéra-Comique was born there. To replace the fixed market, installed by the monks in 1726, between 1813 and 1817 Blondel built a market whose semicircular arcades, also covered with a double roof, surrounded a square courtyard. Redesigned, its space has been increased by the City to include cultural facilities.
