1. Kappa Alpha Psi Marker
Inscription. Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated was chartered and incorporated on the campus of Indiana University on January 5, 1911 with the sole purpose of achievement in every field of human endeavor. This was accomplished by the illustrious Elder Watson Diggs, John Milton Lee, Byron Kenneth Armstrong, Guy Levis Grant, Ezra Dee Alexander, Henry T. Asher, Marcus Peter Blakemore, Edward Giles Irvin, Paul Waymond Cain, and George Wesley Edmonds. The Alpha Omicron chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi was founded in 1933 at the Louisville Municipal College for Negroes by James T. Cooper, Lewis Haddox, Lewis McClaskey and Alfred C. Stone. In 1955, the chapter was moved to the University of Louisville where it has maintained a progressive continuum.
