1. Iota Phi Theta Marker

Inscription. Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated was founded on September 19, 1963 on the campus of Morgan State University (then Morgan State College) by Albert Hicks, Lonnie Spruill, Jr., Charles Briscoe, Frank Coakley, John Slade, Barron Willis, Webster Lewis, Charles Brown, Louis Hudnell, Charles Gregory, Elias Dorsey, Jr., and Michael Williams. The Fraternity motto is: “Building A Tradition, Not Resting Upon One.” The 5 core principles of the fraternity are: Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Fidelity, and Brotherhood. The Epsilon Iota Chapter of Iota Phi Theta was chartered on the campus of University of Louisville on April 7th, 2001 by JaQuar Sanders and Alonzo Morton.
