The hitching of the three horses in this photo answered specific rules. The leading horse, the furthest from the carter was the most spiritded, but also the most obedient. This leading horse governed the conduct of the team. The horse between the shafts set the pace and was the strongest of the four., , (caption, right postcard) , . L'attelage en ligne de ces quatre chevaux présenté sur cette vue répondait à des regles précises. Le premier en tête, le plus éloigné du charretier était le cheval le plus fougueux mai aussi le plus obéissants. C'est lui qui réglait te conduite de l'attelage. Le limonier fermet la marche, c'était le cheval to plus fort des quatres.

Nous sommes en 1905. Les enfants sont ressemblée sur la place. La garde-champêtre est vigilant. Le drapeau de la mairie est en berne. L'histoire ne nous dit pas pour quelle circonstance. Dans ce bâtiment construit en 1836 se trouvait la mairie, les écoles et les logements de instituteurs. L'horloge et let cloches situées dans la campanile provenaient de l'ancienne orangerie du château.

It is 1905. The children have been assembled in the square. The local policeman is watchful. The flag on the city hall, is at half-mast. History does not telle us what the circumstances were. In this building, erected in 1836 were housed the city hall, the schools and the teacher's accomodation. The clock and its bells in the belltower are from the chateau's
former orangery. The post office occupies the building now.
