1. Gen. George Washington Marker
Inscription. Gen. George Washington, who became the First President of the United States in 1789. Washington Camped at "Ye Fam'd Warm Springs” in March, 1748, while working with a group of surveyors employed by Thomas Sixth Lord Fairfax, who owned the land on which the Town of Bath was laid out. Gen. Washington also owned adjacent Lot #59.
